the recent book from joe armstrong about erlang Programming Erlang - Software for a concurrent World has arrived. after digging through half the pdf of the beta version i can now continue reading on my daily commute in the underground. i am enjoying it a lot.

work
as of march 2006, i work full time for austria based mayr-melnhof karton ag, a major player in the cartonboard industry, as a system engineer for network/linux/voip/telecommunication.
free software and debian community
i maintain packages for darcsweb (browse) darcs-buildpackage repository using upstream darcsweb in debian main.

visit debienna.at for the wiki of the debian community in vienna, which i actively take part of.
voluntary sysadmin work
i also do some voluntary system administration for quintessenz.org and utv.at (because they are nice people and i am too).
dotfiles & /home/lefant
currently/always being redesigned
at the moment i am experimenting using puppet to manage my dotfiles. mostly because we also use it at work for other stuff.
fuse based sshfs has recently joined. afuse automounter to manage the mountpoints. very useful to keep my mozilla thunderbirds newsrc-news.gmane.org in sync between several hosts.
i still like darcs for version controlling it. see here for the darcsweb frontend and here for the raw repo - use "darcs get" on it to obtain a copy.
